NEW Fox News articles can now be heard on audio! New York City has received the first busload of illegal migrants from Texas.

At a Port Authority in New York City on Friday, some 50 migrants landed. They were welcomed and taken under the care of volunteers and employees of non-governmental organizations.

Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, deployed the bus of undocumented immigrants to liberal areas in an effort to draw attention to the problem of undocumented immigration in his own state.

“The State of Texas has forced to take unprecedented steps to keep our residents safe because President Biden’s continuous reluctance to confront the problem generated by his open border policies,” stated Abbott.

More illegal immigrants are traveling by bus from Texas to the nation’s capital, and Texas is continuing its campaign to draw the attention of the federal government.

“The best place for these migrants to go is not just Washington, D.C., but also New York City, where they may take advantage of the numerous municipal services and housing options that Mayor Eric Adams has bragged about in the sanctuary city. I hope he keeps his word and accepts all migrants with open arms so that our overcrowded and stressed border towns might find some comfort.”

Late Tuesday night, the most recent busload of migrants from Texas landed in Washington, D.C. According to Texas, at least 5,100 migrants had been sent to the capital.

Mayor of Washington, D.C. Muriel Bowser asked that the District of Columbia National Guard be activated permanently to help with what she described as a “humanitarian catastrophe” since she has fought for welcoming immigrants who enter the nation illegally as a human rights issue.

Both Bowser and Mayor of New York City Eric Adams have raised the alarm about the flood of migrants into their cities, blaming Arizona and Texas for the problem. (Arizona has refuted claims that it sends migrants to New York City.)

Adams rebuffed Abbott’s invitation for the mayors to travel to the border.
