On Wednesday, Mike Pence, a former vice president, gave the impression that he would refrain from endorsing Donald Trump if the former president decided to run for office again in 2024 and win the Republican nomination.

When asked if he would back Trump if he were the GOP nominee for president, Pence replied at a Georgetown University event late on Wednesday, “Well, there might be somebody else I’d prefer more.”

Pence stated, “What I can tell you is that I have every confidence that the Republican Party will sort out leadership. “For the past 20 days, the midterm elections have consumed all of my attention. But after that, we’ll be considering the nation’s and our own futures, and I’ll keep you updated.

Although Trump has not officially declared his intention to run for president, he told New York magazine in July that he had already made up his mind.
