Residents in the Bronx claim that teenage gangs are terrorizing their apartment building: report


NEW Fox News articles can now be heard on audio! According to a local newspaper, residents of an apartment building in the Morrisania section of the Bronx claim that teenage gangs have been frightening them recently.

Nydia Carrero, 63, a tenant of the apartments on East 169th Street, told WABC that she was recently accosted by a bunch.

She told the local news source, “They were kicking me in my side, kicking me on this side, striking me in the back, trying to get my face.”

According to data from the NYPD, crime in the Bronx has increased dramatically in 2022, with robberies up 43.4%, felony assaults up 23%, and burglaries up 38.3% compared to the same period in 2021.

Victor Gonzalez, a 60-year-old resident of the Bronx apartment complex, told WABC that the issue is only growing worse.

Gonzalez told the local media, “It’s a disgrace. “We have been informed that they want to return and set the building on fire. It is absurd.”
