On Wednesday, protesters disrupted a town hall meeting for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., that was held in Queens, which is her home district.

Video shows some demonstrators yelling, “AOC has got to go,” as others hold signs and observe the divisive Democrat in silence. Ocasio-Cortez even feigned to dance along with the shouts as she sat on the edge of a stage.

In the upcoming election, Republican contender Tina Forte, a local business owner, will run against Ocasio-Cortez for reelection.
One billboard said, “Wake up New York.” “Support Tina Forte. F—- AOC.’
Very elegant. When she saw the placard, Ocasio-Cortez remarked, “Thank you, gentleman.”

In an attempt to make fun of the lawmaker for an earlier-in-the-year incident, another demonstrator pretended to be handcuffed.
After a while, Ocasio-Cortez grew tired of the situation and made an effort to convince the demonstrators to cool off and have a talk.

You’re saying, “Respectfully, ma’am, ask us why,” but you’ve been talking for 20 minutes, are you sure? We are aware of the explanation. We understand your rage,” she remarked. “Let’s discuss it,” I said.

Later, the lights in the auditorium went out, and Ocasio-Cortez was led off the platform by a security guard. After about a minute, the lights came back on, and Ocasio-Cortez walked back, stating, “I’m not permitted to be in a room with the lights off.”

Ocasio-Cortez eventually had the opportunity to start speaking when the majority of the audience quickly turned on the demonstrators and started chanting their own phrases.
